3 alarm Tampa fire

I posted this one for a discussion on initial line placement.  I also wanted to talk about use of the blitz attack.  I thought with the winds also blowing in their favor that a well placed cut off line and lines interior attacking the main body may have worked better.  What did you see?  Good video to train on and learn from.

  1. Poor first in placement and application of deck gun. Looks like there was better access on the backside of the building where most of the fire was although there were a lot of trees. Also, seemed like forever for additional units to arrive. Cut off lines i felt could have been placed or at least scouted in the 2nd floor apts from the first stairwell to the left of the main body of fire. If no fire showing after opening up the ceiling maybe a good stand to make. Also the strip vent application looked promising if available ladders early in the incident.
