Bryan Firefighters

As we all know we lost 2 brave Bryan Firefighters this week.  We will be selling a tshirt to help the families at our union store on cameron rd.  I believe you will also be able to buy online google search local 975 or austin fire union store.  Sales will probably start friday they are waiting for the shirts to finish.  All proceeds will go to the families of our brothers.

Rapid Attack Monitor

This video shows the versatility of the rapid attack monitor.  That is 500 gpm directed through a window broken out  by a 24 foot ladder.  I didn't waste time breaking out the windows totally because the stream will do the work for you.  It can make quick work of an upper story fire plus you can deploy the bundle off the end of the RAM.

Ladder venting a window

I love venting windows with ladders this vid isn't perfect but neither is the task.  I would use the beam to strike the window then turn the ladder in and clear the window.  Set the ladder for rescue after window is clear.  Works great for ves and also for accessing fire in an upper floor from the ground.
