Cutting Locks to Force Entry

Commercial store front with adams right lock mechanism.
1) gap the door and look for more locks
2) If none are present use ktool or cut the lock
3) sweep the top of the door with a shove knife or similar tool to look for locks
4) remember if you are using abrasive blades the life on them is limited so use the k tool where you can and then cut where you have to.  If you have a diamond blade cut all day.  If you haven't tried a diamond blade spend the money they are awesome.

Flat Roof Ventilation with the Construction

This is a quick way to make a huge hole.  As you can see they cut right through the horizontal rafters the main supports run in line with the way they are cutting.  This information is obtained by taking the time to complete an inspection hole 45degree angle to the outside load bearing wall.  Armed with the right information we can maximize our time on the roof and get some ventilation for the engine crews.

FF Bailout

This video is tough to watch but when you set a ladder set it for rescue give your brothers a workable angle.  This is chaos but a good learning tool.

Now check out what a proper slide looks like.  Having ladders in place is being prepared for the worst.  It saves firefighters and civilians.

Window Into A Door

Nashville window into a door.
Guys this technique works well for all rescues it is fast and easy to accomplish.  This vid is detailed with some good info.  It works good on the second story also.  You can take the roof hooks put it on top the sash and pull it down.  Great to get a victim out of a room you have vent enter searched.
Thanks
